German courses target newly incoming immigrants allowed into Germany and consist of a language and an orientation component.
It covers daily routine activites such as the working life, shopping,media coverage including television, magazines and radio as well as childrearing. The students learn how to deal with administrative offices procedures, emails and letters writing, and job interviewing related issues. Participants also learn more about Germany as a country, from a number of perspectives: culture, legal aspects and politics, how people live and interact within the Germany society based on German ethics. The language course units consist of 6 full designated book instruction, the orientation has a duration of 3 months per designated book. Special courses for women, parents, young adults up to the age of 27 and other groups are also a part of the German course and can be taken alongside the main German courses. Upon successful completion of each course, all participants are obliged to take a free of charge final examination.
Who can participate in German course?
The German language courses are mainly intended for those who has recently arrived in Germany and whose German language skills are not adequate enough to dealing with everyday life demanding routines. Taking a German intensive course requirements entirely depend on your country of origin and your level of German language proficiency. Consider the following important guidelines:
You are welcome to participate in an a variety of German language courses offered by the Bermuda language school if you wish to improve your German language skills, on the condition that a place is available for your particular level either in a group or single face to face class.
To enable us to determine your current language level, you also have to take the obligatory placement test. After that, it is possible for you to register for courses at your level in the following fields:
General language courses:
Elementary Level (A1 and A2), Intermediate Level (B1 and B2) and Advanced Level (C1)
Higher level courses:
German Culture (B1/B2 and C1)
Phonetics (B1/B2 and C1)
Academic Speaking Skills (C1)
Academic Writing Skills (C1)
Academic Listening Skills (C1)
Business German (B2/C1)
Preparatory course for TestDaF (C1)
The courses are in-sessional, i.e. they take place throughout the year within ther Bermuda Language school study program, and classes, either two or four hours a day, are held weekly. Courses currently being offered can be found in our course offer under the category: German courses.
